Convert HEIC to JPG
Turn an iPhone photo into a JPG that websites and other devices can open. Runs entirely on your device — the file never uploads.
How to make an iPhone HEIC photo a JPG
- Select the HEIC or HEIF still image from your device using the launcher above.
- Run the job to create a JPEG copy. Your original HEIC is kept on your device.
- Download the JPG, open it to check the photo, and confirm the website or recipient accepts its size.
Supported files: Input: HEIC or HEIF still images, up to 200 MB per file. This job outputs JPEG; use the full converter for PNG, WebP or quality settings.
A practical example
If a website rejects an iPhone .heic file but accepts .jpg, choose JPEG. If its upload limit is still exceeded, compress or resize the JPG after conversion.
Limitations and checks
- The decoder uses the first still image in each file. Live Photo motion, sound and additional images are not exported.
- JPEG and WebP use the chosen quality setting. PNG preserves the decoded pixels but does not restore detail already lost in the HEIC source.
- Conversion can change colors, metadata and file size. No output format is accepted by every website; check the destination requirements.

About
Turn an iPhone HEIC photo into a JPG that Windows computers, websites, and older apps are more likely to open. HEIC saves space well, but it is still rejected by some upload forms and unfamiliar to people using older software. This conversion creates a broadly compatible JPG copy for sharing or uploading while preserving the original HEIC file. The selected photo is converted in your browser and stays on the device during this job. JPG does not support every HEIC feature, and conversion can change file size or discard format-specific data, but the visible image is prepared for everyday use in programs that expect JPEG files.
Common uses
- Convert an iPhone photo before sending it to someone who uses Windows.
- Prepare a HEIC image for a website form that accepts JPG files.
- Create a JPG copy for an older photo editor or document program.
- Change a downloaded HEIC image into a format that is easier to share.
Frequently asked questions
Why will my HEIC photo not open on Windows?
Some Windows setups and older applications do not include HEIC support. A JPG copy uses a format supported by a wider range of browsers, editors, and viewers.
Will converting HEIC to JPG delete the original?
No. The converter produces a new JPG download and does not replace the HEIC source file on your device.
Does JPG have the same quality as HEIC?
JPG uses different compression, so the result may not be byte-for-byte identical and can lose a small amount of detail. It is intended as a compatible viewing and sharing copy.
Can this convert Live Photos?
This job converts the selected HEIC still image. A Live Photo also contains motion and sound that are not carried into a standard JPG.
